Attorney Profile
Lawrence A. Russell was born in Austin, Texas. He was admitted to the Texas Bar on May 18, 1976, and is also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a cum laude honor from Southwestern University and earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Texas School of Law in 1975. In 1996, he achieved Board Certification in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Early in his career, Lawrence served as an Assistant District Attorney for Travis County, Texas, from 1982 to 1987. He has been a longstanding member of the legal community, including serving as President of the Williamson County Bar Association in 1999, and remains an active member of the State Bar of Texas.
Lawrence has been a resident of Cedar Park, Texas, since 1988. He was widowed in 2018 and is the proud father of two children, Emily Frances Minica and Jeremy Ford Russell, and the loving grandfather to four grandchildren: Nathan, Benjamin, and Mark Minica, and Chloe Russell. Outside of his professional accomplishments, Lawrence enjoys a well-rounded life, indulging in his passions for swimming, cycling, gardening, hiking, attending concerts, singing, reading and traveling including two mission work trips to Malawi, Africa in recent years.
